If you have Star Ocean fanart you can submit it here on the club as well so other fans can see it too! XDDD Just note us with your submission and we will upload it on the club's gallery! Your submission in the club's gallery will be linked to the one in your gallery and all the comments and faves will go to you!!

Ps.: We just won't accept wallpapers that make use of official art because it goes against DA's policy, they consider it to be art theft. We also would like to keep the good quality in the club's gallery so we won't accept rough b&w sketches, oekaki is ok though.
Ps.2: This club will only accept fanart of Star Ocean and its original characters created by tri-Ace and Square Enix. (No OCs with the exception of the last contest)

Hello, my name is ~cutepiku, but you can just call me Piku.

Some of you probably already know me, but *lily-kat has accepted me as your new admin!

So a little about me... I'm a 17 year old Star Ocean (mostly 2) fan. I have been a big fan of the SO2 franchise in particular since I was 9, and have also self proclaimed myself the title of "Ashton's biggest fangirl" (*coughhinthintcough*). I also started an SO2 fansite when I was 12, and that's where I honestly met most of my other friends with Star Ocean interest.

##Star Ocean: The Second Evolution##

As well as a remake for the first Star Ocean, another remake for Star Ocean: The Second Story has been recently released in Japan for PSP. For the remake there will be new content, new playable characters and many exclusive animation scenes. There will also be new voice actors and many voiced dialogues.

##Star Ocean: The First Departure##

I'm sure some of you have already heard about the remake of the first Star Ocean for PSP. Not translated to English yet. Even though the characters were all redesigned it's still fun to watch the animation scenes in the trailer! See it here: [link]

##Star Ocean 4##

There's a new Star Ocean game in development by Square Enix and Tri-Ace. I've seen the trailer and the CG looks awesome! Watch it here: [link]

According to Famitsu the battle system will now feature 4 party members, and be more team-oriented. The hero's name is Edge Maverick, along with the heroine, Reimi. The game will also be more sci-fi than past titles, with the ability to control your own ship. This ship is quite large, and will be able to land on at least 5 planets or other space-based destinations. The game will also take place a few centuries before the original Star Ocean. Somes sites say Star Ocean 4 will be a Play Station 3 exclusive title. But there are also sites that say there will be a version for X360 as well.

This is an Art Swap event, you join by noting us with what you want as a gift. Then after a draw, another participant is randomly chosen for you to draw the gift to, and you have to draw what this other participant chose. The participants are free to ask for characters from any of the Star Ocean games, no OCs allowed.

The Art Swap is not open for joining anymore because the draw already took place on March 26th. Now we're only waiting for the participants to complete their part of the trade.

All entries will be submitted in the club. Your submission will need to have minimum quality. That means you have to put a little effort in your gift! Make it colored (digital or traditional media) or a neat B&W shaded drawing. No sketches allowed.

I ask that all participants complete their part of the trade, or else someone might end up sad with no gift! ;3; You'll have until the deadline to finish your gift, but if you finish it, it's okay to have it submitted to the club before the deadline.

So I called it a "contest" because we will have voting after the art swap ends. We'll vote to see which submission will stay at the front page of the club. ^^ I wanna join in the art swap because it's fun, but I won't join with my entry in the voting, so don't worry!

This is how it will go, you will create your own original character based on the existing world of Star Ocean, and the existing characters! Make a drawing of him or her and in the description you have to tell us more about him or her, like:

Like making up a rpg file. It should be fun! ^^
It's a kind of contest where it doesn't matter if you can draw good, creativity on the creation of his/her background counts a lot too!

It's okay to make more than one entry, all your entries will be posted in this journal but keep in mind that only one of your entries will be in the voting poll, you'll have to choose your best work to be in it.
